Svanberg, Max Walter

(2/20/1912 Malmo-1994) (Sweden); aka Swanberg, Max Walter

   Painter, collagist, engraver, draughtsman, illustrator, and portraitist. He was a Surrealist artist who studied under Otte Skold at the Tekniska Skola in Malmo and the Skanska Malerskolo in Malmo. Part of the Minotaur Gruppen and founder of the Imaginistgruppen. He is said to have been obsessed with women in his work, producing erotica mostly in the 1950s and 60s.
